Baby Born During Giants, Padres Game

(CBSSports) In the third inning of Thursday night's Giants-Padres game at Petco Park, a baby boy was born in the Palm Court Plaza. The team announced the news on Twitter.

Details are scarce at this point, though Andie Adams of NBC San Diego reports the mother went into labor during the game and simply didn't have enough time to reach the hospital.

There hasn't been any update since news of the delivery, but I take it from the nurse's thumbs up that both mom and baby are doing a-okay.

Adams says the boy's name is Levi, by the way. Can't believe they didn't name him Gwynn. Welcome to the world, Levi. It's a crazy place.
