Autistic singer/songwriter Eric Look is out with new Christmas song called "Santa Please"
For the fifth straight year, Eric Look of Oak Creek is out with an original Christmas song.
This year's song is called "Santa Please" and Eric will have several special guests throughout December joining him in local performances.
Eric said after his previous tune "Christmasing with You" which was for those dealing with a crisis or separation at the holiday, he wanted something fun.
"I wanted it to upbeat with fun chords. Especially during my piano solo," Eric tells CBS 58 News.
Nick Buerger of the Greenfield Rec Department also heard Eric's story and felt his music was the perfect fit for their annual Christmas With Santa which is sold out this year.
"We thought it was a great fit," Buerger says. "The upbeat music. We heard his songs and stories and thought he would be great for all the families to enjoy."
Although tickets for the breakfast are no longer available, Buerger encourages folks to turn out for the tree lighting ceremony at noon at Greenfield City Hall. Santa will also be available for photos then.
Eric uses music to deal with sound sensitivity from his severe autism.
Just last year, he celebrated landing a gig during family day at Summerfest, headlining at the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse.
He likes to do Jim Croce covers and was honored to have met Croce's son, AJ, recently when AJ performed in South Milwaukee.
Even though he's reaching for the stars, Eric remembers how it all started.
Five years ago, he began writing Christmas songs.
While his performance song sheet has expanded greatly, he never forgets the tradition that put him and his hometown of Oak Creek on the map.
We've attached clips of all Eric's Christmas songs.
