Accumulating Friday Snow...Chilly Weekend

The scattered snow showers have come to an end across the area today, with some spots picking up a quick dusting.  The winds will remain up tonight as temperatures fall back into the lower 30s.

A fast moving clipper will move across Wisconsin on Friday with more snow expected during the morning and afternoon.  Unlike today these snow showers could produce a quick inch of snow on grassy surfaces.  We do expect snow during the morning commute, and temperatures could be cold enough for some snow sticking to the roads.  Use caution if you come across any snow covered areas.

Another batch of snow will arrive late in the afternoon into the evening before clearing out Friday night.

That clipper will drag another shot of unseasonably cold air for the weekend.  Highs on Saturday will only climb into the middle 30s with the 40s returning on Sunday.  Scattered rain showers will also return throughout the area Sunday into early Monday morning.

There are some indications of a nice warm up toward the end of next week as highs get back to the 60s!  Stay tuned.
