Aaron Rodgers speaks out on Ray Rice and domestic abuse scandal

GREEN BAY-Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was asked Wednesday about the domestic abuse scandal rocking the NFL.


He said he had seen the video of former Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice punch his then fiancee with such force it knocked her unconscious.


\"I think we need to continue to stand for the fair and right treatment of women,\" Rodgers told reporters.


\"We need to remember we represent every time, whether we're in the locker room or on the field, or away from the stadium, we represent a lot of people. Our fans look up t us, especially the kids. Our teammates count on us, our families. Our fans rely on us to represent our organizations the right way and when you don't, you're let go.\"


The Ravens fired Rice. They play on Thursday night football on CBS 58.
