A blast of cool air is coming

Today is our 8th 70 degree day in October, and we should remain in the 70s at least through Saturday.  Next week is a very different story with a major pattern change coming across the Midwest.

Take a look at the real cold air in northern Canada.  Thankfully that cold air will remain bottled up through the weekend.  A ridge will push in across the Pacific Northwest late in the weekend, and that will send that cooler air straight south out of Canada by the middle of next week.  Highs for most of next week will drop into the 50s!

The coldest temperature for Milwaukee this fall has been 45 degrees.  We are getting closer to November, and we look to stay well above freezing over the next 10 days.  Here are the top 5 latest freezes...notice last year rounds out the top 5!
