7 people, including 2 MPD officers, injured in multi car accident on city’s north side

Two Milwaukee Police officers and five civilians were injured in a multi-car accident at Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and W Center Street around 1:45 Saturday morning.   According to the Milwaukee Police, the officers were responding to a dispatched call when their squad was struck by another vehicle in the intersection.   That vehicle then collided with two more cars.   All of the vehicles were occupied.   Both officers, one with 7-years on the force and the other a 5-year veteran were injured.  The five civilians were also injured in the crash.   All seven people were taken to local hospitals of treatment of their injured.   None of the injuries were considered life threatening.   The MPD is continuing to investigate the early morning accident.
