63-year-old man beaten to death in Milwaukee

A 63-year-old man was found beaten to death on a Milwaukee street Tuesday evening.

Police responded to the area of 9th and Clarke around 6:30 pm for a report of an injured person.

They discovered that the man had been involved in some type of physical altercation.

Police said that the man was found deceased on the scene, but the Milwaukee Fire Department was able to resuscitate him. Despite efforts to save his life he later died at a local hospital.

Police said that the 63-year-old man was from Milwaukee and lived in the area.  

The circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation.
