4 OWI arrests in less than 3 hours Saturday afternoon in Racine County

RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- Racine County Sheriff’s Deputies had a busy 2-and-1/2 hours Saturday afternoon.   Between 4 pm and 6:30 PM, Deputies made four impaired driving arrests.

A 58-year-old Mount Pleasant man was arrested for his 5th Operating While Intoxicated offense and Possession of a Schedule I Narcotic.  Both of the offenses are felonies.  The man was arrested after causing a motor vehicle accident on I-94 south bound near 7 mile road.  Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.   When Deputies searched the man’s vehicle, they found 80 Morphine pills.

During a traffic stop in the Town of Burlington, a 21-year-old Lake Geneva man was arrested of his first offence of Operating with a Restricted Controlled Substance.   The man was also wanted on an active warrant for the possession of marijuana.

A 32-year-old Franklin man was arrested for misdemeanor Operating While Intoxicated, 2nd offense. The man was also cited for speeding in the Town of Norway.

An Illinois man was arrested for his 1st Offense Operating While Intoxicated following a traffic stop in the Village of Rochester.    The 50-year-old man was spotted driving recklessly and when stopped admitted to having consumed alcohol prior to getting behind the wheel of his car.
