2017 infant deaths in Milwaukee surpass 2016 numbers

According to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner, they have investigated 33 infant deaths so far this year in the County. For the whole year of 2016 the ME investigated 32.
In 2016 two of the infant deaths were homicides. One of the deaths in 2017 is a confirmed homicide.
On Wednesday, Milwaukee Police arrested two women in connection with the homicide of a 7-week-old baby that died Tuesday. Police say the baby died from blunt force trauma.
