19-Month-Old Hit by a Cargo Van in Wisconsin

NEW LONDON, Wis (WFRV) New London police are investigating an accident that injured a 19-month-old girl Monday night.
Police say the accident happened when the child walked into the roadway while her mother was fixing her car seat. That is when a 74-year-old New London man in a cargo van hit the toddler while traveling north on Division Street near the intersection of Bruce Street about 5:03 p.m.
The mother immediately took the child to ThedaCar New London while the driver waited at the scene for police to arrive.
The child has since been released from the hospital. She was said to have non-life threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
