18-year-old killed following head-on collision in Town of Hartford

One 18-year-old is dead and another is injured following a head-on collision in Washington County Thursday evening.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to State Highway 83, approximately .2 miles south of Lee Road in the Town of Hartford around 5:30 p.m. 

The deceased 18-year-old male was traveling northbound on State Highway 83. While negotiating a curve in the roadway south of Lee Road, he crossed the center line into the southbound lane of travel and struck a southbound vehicle in a head-on manner.

The driver of the other vehicle traveling southbound was identified as an 18-year-old male from Erin. He suffered minor injuries.

The deceased male is identified as an 18-year-old male from Hubertus.

This is Washington County's 1st traffic fatality in 2017.

No further information is being released at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
