16-year-old seriously injured after rollover crash in Dane County

Dane County Sheriff’s deputies and UW Med Flight responded to a rollover crash at N. Hill Street and Rinden Road in the town of Pleasant Springs.

The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

Jeremy D. Luchsinger, age 16 of Cottage Grove, was partially ejected from his 1990 Ford F-150, and became pinned under the vehicle.  After he was extricated, he was conveyed by Med Flight to UW Hospital with serious injuries.

Mr. Luchsinger was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. 

Dane County Sheriff’s deputies continue to investigate the cause of the crash and are looking into whether or not the vehicle’s brakes may have failed.
