$100,000 in damage done to Sheboygan house after deck fire

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Saturday evening around 5:40 p.m. Sheboygan Fire Department was sent to a house on Moenning Road for a fire on a deck. 

When firefighters arrived the entire back of the house was on fire spreading through the exterior walls and into the attic. Firefighters attacked the fires from outside and inside a bedroom.

The fire resulted in significant damage to the back of the house, the roof and the trusses. Ceilings in the bedroom and living room also had to be pulled down. The electric meter was also damaged.

The cost of the damage is estimated around $100,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Firefighters were on scene for about three hours.
