MILWAUKEE -- Sheriff David Clarke had another harsh response to the political battle over safety on county buses.

Alderman Bob Bauman told the sheriff to tick to patrolling the freeways, courts and jails and leave the buses to the police.

Sheriff Clarke released a statement saying the only thing he's interested in hearing about from Alderman Bauman are his ideas for reducing black unemployment in the city, reducing infant mortality and decreasing poverty.

The sheriff also called Bauman "inept" and criticized his support for new trains in Milwaukee.
