Local vets honored
There were several local ceremonies Wednesday in hnor of Veterans Day.

The American Legion hostel a gathering in MacArthur Square that included Mayor Tom Barrett, Police Chief Ed Flynn and District Attorney John Chisholm.

Another Ceremony at Marquette University honored the late Colonel Edward Day.

Day was a preofessor of military science at Marquette from 1965 until 1973 and was instrumental in developing the college's ROTC program.

The campus library has now been renamed in his honor.
