The health department received 5,000 H1N1 vaccines today including 3,500 injectible and 1,500 nasal to add to the leftover nasal mists from last week.
The department is still targeting the high risk group: pregnant women, children 6 months to 18 years old, people who take care of babies, and healthcare workers.
The new shipment comes as swine flu hospitalizations continue to grow.
Paul Biedrzycki of the Milwaukee Health Department tells CBS 58 that, "We saw a market increase in hospitalizations over the past week, up almost 100% from last week, most of them 26 yars of age an dyounger, so, that's a concern."
The vaccines will be available at two clinics this week. Thursday November 5th from 2 to 7 pm at Sarah Scott Middle School and Friday November 6th from 4 to 9 pm at South Division High School.
Although health officials say they are targeting Milwaukee County residents in the high risk group, they will not be checking IDs or turning people away.
