MILWAUKEE-A former South Milwaukee teacher has died from complications from the H1N1 virus, also known as Swine Flu.

51 year old Gail Stapleton used to teach at South Milwaukee High School.

She recently moved to Arizona where for the past year was teaching English at a high school near Phoenix.

The school district in Arizona says Stapleton had asthma and when she contracted the virus last month she took medical leave but didn't get any better and died last Friday.

Kathy Braier a current South Milwaukee teacher says news of Stapleton's death is hitting hard here at home.

Stapleton will be buried Monday at St. Clare's Cemetery in Waukesha County.
