Union pilots say it's the end of Midwest Airlines as we know it.

The last of the Midwest Boeing 717 fleet landed at Mitchell International Airport Monday night as dozens of members with the Airline Pilots Association greeted them with signs.

Midwest was purchased by Indianapolis-based Republic Airlines in June.

Last month, Midwest employees learned they would be outsourced, meaning that 800 jobs locally would be lost to Republic's flight crews and aircraft.
