Students injured in crash
A school bus accident sent five people, including two students, to the hospital this morning in Random Lake.

A full size school bus owned by Degnitz Bus Service of Fredonia was transporting 26 students to Random Lake Middle School.

The bus was traveling southbound on Lynn Road and had come to a stop at the intersection of Abbott Drive.

The bus then pulled into the path of a Ford F-250 hauling a utility trailer.

Visibility at the time of the accident was very poor due to a dense fog.

The driver of the bus, 51-year-old Judy Degnitz, was uninjured, but was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

The driver of the F-250, 30-year-old Adell resident Nichollas Mueller, and two passengers, 9-year-old Tyler Kies and 7-year-old Owen Kies, were toaken to St. Mary's Hospital in Ozaukee County.

The 26 students were taken to Random Lake Elementary School on another bus.

18 students were treated by the school nurse for minor injuries, while 2 were taken to St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.

The accident is still under investigation.
