turnaround expected at Vincent High
MILWAUKEE-Monday was the first day on the job for the new principal at Vincent High School where last week, there were two straight days of violence with several students arrested or cited.
One of the more terrifying acts happened Tuesday when a student allegedly threw a pair of scissors at a teacher but missed.
New principal Matthew Boswell tells CBS 58 that, "You have to build a relationship and rapport with children. Then you have to set clear expectations."
Better communications aside, the school isn't taking any chances.
There were long lines at the start of class Monday morning because every student had to be cleared at a security check point before entering the school.
A similar check last week resulted in one 17 year old girl being arrested for carrying in pepper spray.
