UPDATE: victim suffered punctured lung
MILWAUKEE-Police were called to the city's Sherman Park neighborhood around 7:30 Monday night after a teenager was stabbed in the parking lot of Washington High School.
Police say the 17 year old female victim was stabbed in the shoulder blades and back. Initial reports described the injuries as minor but on Tuesday morning came word that the victim suffered a punctured lung.
Residents tell CBS 58 that the victim is a student at the high school.
Investigators say the violence does not appear to be school related.
Police say in the moments before the stabbing the girl had been arguing with other girls near the school. They won't say what the argument was about.
At last report, there were no arrests.
