New weapons match the fire power among criminals
MILWAUKEE-In it's latest attempt to outpower the criminals on the streets the Police Department has begun phasing out 52 shotguns and replacing them with .223 caliber patrol rifles.
It's in direct response to the increasing amount of miltary gauge weaponry officers are encountering and seizing on the streets.
The biggest advantages to the new weapons are that they can load more ammuntion and shoot from longer distances.
