Cracking Down on Crime
Neighborhood Task Force hit high-crime areas
MILWAUKEE - With the weather warming up, Milwaukee police are stepping out. It's been about a year since the Neighborhood Task Force hit the streets, trying to fight crime before it happens.
CBS 58's Kelli Watson joined officers as they patrolled high-crime areas to combat everything from shootings to drugs to prostitution. The officers jump at the chance to make their presence known in these neighborhoods. Residents on 32nd Street even call them the "jump out boys." Police say they're just trying to stop crimes before the happen.
