Julius Burton pleaded guilty
A teenager who pleaded guilty to shooting and injuring two Milwaukee police officers last summer has been sentenced to 80 years in prison, a virtual life sentence.
Online court records say 19-year-old Julius C. Burton also received 20 years of extended supervision Thursday.
A message left with Burton's defense attorneys was not immediately returned.
Burton had pleaded guilty to two charges of attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
Officers Bryan Norberg and Graham Kunisch say they stopped Burton last summer because he was riding his bike on a sidewalk.
Investigators say Burton shot both in the face. Much of the left side of Kunisch's face was blown off and he lost an eye. Norberg lost several teeth after the bullet tore through his jaw.
