Greenfield lawyer accused of stealing money to support his gambling habits

MILWAUKEE- A local attorney says he was taking half-days and stealing millions just so he could keep playing the slot machines at Potowatomi Casino.

46 year-old Thomas Koch of Greenfield is now charged with embezzlement. Prosecutors say Koch stole more than 2 million dollars while settling claims for a Texas-based insurance company. Koch told investigators he gambled the money away at Potowatomi Casino, spending most days there after completing his legal work by mid-morning.

Koch is expected to be in court this afternoon for his initial appearance.
