RACINE -- You might not be able to light up in City of Racine parks for very much longer.

The Park and Recreation Board, along with the City of Racine Health Department Commission recommended banning smoking in city parks and other open-air recreational areas.

This is not a done deal. The recommendation still needs to be taken up and voted on by Racine's city council.

The next council meeting will take place June 21st and the recommendation is expected to be discussed.
