Michele can be seen nightly on the CBS 58 News at 5:00 and 10:00, which has the distinction of being judged "Best Newscast" by the both Associated Press and Wisconsin Broadcasters Association in 2010.
Since arriving here in 2005, Michele has also been singled out by the WBA for individual achievement in reporting, producing and news writing.
Michele began her career as a one man band, shooting and editing her own stories in Quincy, IL. Her breaking news coverage of the 1993 floods earned an Edward R. Murrow Award.
Future job opportunities would take her through Wichita, KS, Kansas City, MO, again where her breaking news coverage was rewarded this time by Emmy judges, to the fourth market in the U.S., Philadelphia, where she received the the NJ Firefighters Benevolent Association Media Award.
When she isn't working, Michele enjoys bicycling the Oak Leaf Trail with her husband and son.
Michele can be heard from time to time singing in an old way that was the tradition of her family from Ireland.
She has won the 2010 and 2012 Midwest Fleadh competition in "Sean Nos" style Singing. She competed in the All Ireland Competition called Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann and ranked in the top 14 in the world for the Senior Ladies Division.
