Warm Spots to Watch Milwaukee St. Patrick's Parade
This Saturday March 9th
MILWAUKEE-Let's face it, the weather's been so bad some years for the Milwaukee St. Patrick's Parade that even the leprechauns sought shelter in their pots of gold.
But that's the beauty of our parade route; it goes through downtown where there are plenty of places for shelter and an array of taverns serving up warm food with a family atmosphere.
Mo's Irish Pub is a favorite opening at 9 a.m.
They'll be serving bangers and a traditional Irish breakfast.
Jennifer Gotto assures CBS 58 News that you can set up shop all day long to watch the parade. Mo's will set up an outside viewing area.
The parade kicks off at noon at 3rd and Wisconsin near the Shops of Grand Avenue.
It turns onto Plankinton, on Kilbourn for a few blocks, before traveling along Old World Third Street, over to Juneau and ending at Water and Highland.
Be sure to say hi to CBS 58's Michele McCormack, Jessica Tighe and Lance Hill. They're scheduled to ride as Unit 56 in the parade that will have 140 units total with authentic Irish entertainment and every local name that's Irish or Irish on this day.
