Marquette honors Chief of Campus Safety

MILWAUKEE-Praise and accolades and an arm full of plaques; that's what greeted Milwaukee's Chief of Campus police Friday as he said goodbye.

After 21 years, working his way up from night shift officer, Rickart is leaving the University.

Former President Robert Wild told the crowd assembled for the going away ceremony that that Rickart's hard work has left a lasting impact.

"You not only took over, you lifted us up," Father Wild said, " we have a very professional public safety organization."

Rickart is leaving to take a position as chief of campus safety for Lynn University in Boca  Raton, Florida.
