Local excutives team up to support UPAF Ride for the Arts

MILWAUKEE-Paul Snyder is not your typical executive. He plays the saxophone which perhaps explains his love for the arts. So when he first moved to Milwaukee he volunteered for the annual ride raising money for the United Performing Arts Fund. "Cycling is great in Milwaukee, the. The arts are great in Milwaukee," Snyder tells CBS 58 News, "we just really enjoy living here."
He's tested his skills with the longer routes that wind through the north shore and over the Hoan Bridge.

Now he's president of the Ashton group a major corporate sponsor of the ride.

UPAF Ride for the Arts, sponsored by Miller Lite is the annual signature fund raising event for the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF).

Since its inception in 1981, over 268,000 participants, thousands of volunteers and hundreds of sponsors have helped raise nearly 8 million for UPAF and the 32 performing arts groups it supports in Southeastern Wisconsin. T

Team captains whose teams meet one of the following criteria are automatically entered in a drawing to win some fabulous prizes. There criteria are:

· Increased ridership by 10% (minimum increase of 5 riders)
· Total team pledges of at least $1,000
· New team with a minimum of 20 riders
· Additional entry for every 100 riders
