Roofing Tip: The Importance of a Gutter Drip Edge

undefinedToday's tip comes from our friends at This Old House.  So you've hired gutter installers to install the gutter of your dreams, but the if the lower edge of your roof does not extend beyond the fascia board, water will end up dripping behind the gutters, rather than dripping into the gutters. Avoid potential water damage to your roof by installing a sheet metal drip edge. It is a piece of metal that extends over the gutter so that water drips into the gutter rather than pooling up on the roof.
