National Kick Butts Day 2012!

Milwaukee's Kick Butts Day!

On March 21, 2012, Milwaukee youth participated in national Kick Butts Day by “airing out the dirty laundry” of the tobacco industry in an effort to stop youth tobacco use. The Wisconsin African American Tobacco Prevention Network and the City of Milwaukee Tobacco-Free Alliance teamed up with youth from the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club to hang 123 t-shirts on a clothesline on the busy intersection of Sherman Blvd and Burleigh St. during the evening rush. The t-shirts represented the number of African American tobacco related deaths per day.
