Special Cookies Accompany "Operation Home-baked for the Holidays"

Holiday Cookies for the Troops

Our local Franklin Books for Soldiers has been sending care packages around the globe for many years. In addition...There is "Operation Home-baked for the Holidays"! An effort that sends over 30,000 cookies to troops serving overseas who cannot be home to enjoy a home baked treat during the holidays! However these tasty treats while priceless to our brave men and women are costly to ship (about 10-cents per cookie in postage). The Friends of Franklin Public Library (not-for-profit...in honor of the troops)are accepting donations to help pay the cost of shipping these holiday treats. Or, just stop by the library Dec. 1-3rd to contribute a cash or check donation. Please support the mission of these volunteers through your contribution.
