Event Description

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15), and coinciding with the Milwaukee Film Festival (Sept. 26 – Oct. 10), Harley-Davidson is holding a special screening of the documentary film, "Harlistas: An American Journey".

Alfredo de Villa is a U.S. Latino award-winning film director, producer and writer. His documentary film follows the journeys of Latino Harley® motorcycle riders as they seek adventure, camaraderie and the achievement of the American Dream. The movie sheds light on Harlista’s fascinating devotion to the open road, Latino culture, and the iconic American motorcycle brand.

Also attending the event will be some of the real-life characters featured in the film, along with riders from the Latin American Motorcycle Association (LAMA) Chapter in Chicago.
The film was directed by Alfredo de Villa, and was nominated for a Golden Reel Award in 2012 for best sound editing for a long-form documentary.
