Event Description

Join the interfaith community on Sunday, October 13 for the 28th Greater Milwaukee CROP Hunger Walk.
The CROP Hunger Walk is a 5.5 mile charity walk and food drive where people of all faiths walk to raise awareness of hunger in Milwaukee and throughout the world.
Participation is free. Bring non-perishable food donations to the lakefront for Hunger Task Force.

CROP Hunger Walks:
Money raised by the CROP Hunger Walk is donated to Church World Service, a cooperative humanitarian ministry of 35 denominations, providing sustainable self-help and development, disaster relief, and refugee assistance in more than 80 countries. A unique option for donors is they may designate their donations to similar organizations such as Catholic Relief Services, Heifer International, Lutheran World Relief, MAZON, etc.

Who Benefits?
• People who are hungry, poor, and underserved in greater Milwaukee.
• People rebuilding from natural and human disasters. (e.g. earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, war, genocide, etc. )
• Communities starving from drought and famine. (e.g. Residents in the Horn of Africa)
