The Waukesha Civic Theatre presents Oklahoma, running weekends from March 8th to 24th, 2013. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the first Rodgers and Hammerstein collaboration – featuring enduring favorites like "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’," "I Cain’t Say No," "Surrey with the Fringe on Top," and of course the title song.
Set in the Oklahoma Territory in 1906, this is the story of Curly and Laurey, a handsome cowboy and a romantic farm girl. Through misunderstandings, jealousy, aspirations, and fears, love triumphs for Curly and Laurey in the brand new state of Oklahoma!
Tickets for Oklahoma are $19.00, or $17.00 for students and seniors, or $15.00 for subscribers and groups of ten or more, or $10.00 for educational groups, boy scout groups, and girl scout groups of ten or more.
