Event Description

The art of Felix Lembersky (1913-1970) grew out of the Soviet avant-garde and Socialist Realism movements, but it also subtly explored Jewish themes. Accompanying this exhibit of some 30 of his paintings of people and places, a panel including UWM faculty Joel Berkowitz and Christine Evans, and Lembersky’s granddaughter, Yelena Lembersky, will help illuminate the painter’s life and times.
