On The Run With Jennifer Tomazic
This is the last weekend for the Mummies of the World exhibit at the Milwaukee Public Museum.
If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, I suggest you do. Its incredible to see how well preserved some of these people are. And it's not just people, it's animals too. The one I remember the most is a woman in South America who apparently mummified while sitting in the hot sun. She was sitting with her legs pulled up to her chest and you can still see her long hair and the bones protruding through her body. There is also a South American woman who is mummified with two children with her. Pretty powerful stuff. The exhibit, that made its Midwestern debut in December, closes on Monday, May 30.
