Hey Good Lookin', Whatcha Got Cookin'?I WILL improve my culinary skills in 2012. I typically don't make New Year's resolutions but I do have a goal for myself to cook more this year.Often times I get frustrated in the kitchen because my culinary skills aren't that great and I get in over my head. But I've found an iPhone ap that has some simple AND healthy recipes! It's called SparkRecipes and what I like is how it's broken down into Ingredients, Directions, and Nutrition. A couple of my favorites that I've made are Bean, Corn, and Avocado Salad, Cauliflower "Mashed Potatoes," Healthy Moussaka, Honey Balsamic Chicken, and Low fat Cheeseburger Pie. You can search for recipes, brows by category like course, cuisine, or dietary needs. Oh yea, and did I mention the ap is free! :) Run Fast Song of the Week: Black Keys- "Lonely Boy" |

Jennifer-one of my favorite features about the SparkRecipes site is the recipe calculator. You basically enter in your recipe, decide how many servings you'll have out of it and it figures out the total nutritional value per serving. It's such a great tool!
