Jacob Kittilstad, Anchor & Reporter

Jacob Kittilstad is a weekend anchor at CBS 58. He regularly reports during the week and has experience as a multi-media journalist (meaning he has the ability to shoot and edit his own stories). He is also the host of the smash hit public affairs program "Racine & Me" which airs Sundays at 9:30 a.m. on WMLW “The M” and Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. on MeTV.

Jacob was born in Milwaukee and has lived in Saukville, Waukesha, and Thiensville at different points in his life. He attended both Waukesha South High School and Homestead High School during his teenage years. A lifelong swimmer, he was WIAA Division I state champion in the 200 Freestyle his senior year.

Coaches recruited Jacob to swim at the University of Minnesota where he would major in Journalism and minor in French. While in college he would get his first job in TV news at KSTP-TV Minneapolis managing web content. Upon graduation Jacob was hired at FOX 21 News in Duluth, Minnesota. There he discovered his love of the South and North shores of Lake Superior.

He then moved to Jackson, Mississippi to take a job as weekend morning anchor for WJTV News Channel 12. He created multiple series including the weirdo "Mystery Monday" and Sunday morning's "Faith in Focus" along with half hour specials like "Mississippi's Most Unusual Town Names".

Jacob is happy to be back around his old stomping ground with a set of new hobbies including knitting, home-brewing, and fantasizing about television production. Jacob's wife, Eleanor, is currently a student at the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. He also has a fluffy gray cat named Hinckley.
