Nearly 100 bikers ride for charity

WAUKESHA COUNTY - Nearly 100 bikers put the pedal to the metal Saturday afternoon, and all for a good cause.

They also enjoyed live music, dancing, a few drinks and even better company. It was all part of the "Ride Because You Care Event."
The bikers rode through southern Waukesha County to raise money for the Waukesha C.A.R.E. center, which is an agency that helps child abuse victims.
"Riders care about kids. I was a rode captain with the Kettle Moraine Chapter for seven years. There's no other cause that gets riders more worked up than something to help kids," said Brad Schimel, the Waukesha District Attorney.
Of course you'll be seeing a lot more bikers on the road as we get closer to next week's Harley-Davidson 110th anniversary celebration, which officially kicks off Thursday.
